OOC: RP Notes from the Mun

Just a few quick things.
  1. Yes, I'm backlogged on tags. I suck. Forgive me? I just want to give you all the attention you deserve and not rush things and half ass them. <3
  2. I'm trying to switch all my threads over to third person perspective prose and paragraph style on LJ. If you don't want to reply to me in that style that's fine, but I'm going to try and stick to one form of writing. It makes tagging faster and more natural for me.
  3. It's been said before but here we go again. Natasha isn't your OC Marvel!Spawn's mama. She's not your wife, either. (unless you're [livejournal.com profile] nolongeracarnyand we're in flashforward land. Or if you play a canon spouse I'll roll with it as I can.) Otherwise, STOP pushing your headcanon on me. NOW!

That's it for now. Stay awesome you guys! *blows kisses*

I think other things I've done in my life would upset him a lot more than that.

I suppose you're right. It's funny, I wouldn't have thought that being a father would rank particularly high on a list of priorities for a trained assassin. but he surprises even me sometimes.

[identity profile] kick-ass-curls.livejournal.com 2012-07-08 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
That just...well it blows her mind.

"He wants to what?"

[identity profile] world-made-free.livejournal.com 2012-07-09 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, did he not mention that?

*the god adopts a look of mock concern, of sympathy positively dripping with false sentiment*

Clinton Francis Barton, master assassin, S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent extraordinaire and one of the finest marksmen in all the known Realms, would like to leave a legacy on this world other than a trail of broken and bloodied bodies...

*he could be lying; he could be telling the truth. With Loki, you can never tell.*

...and you can't give him that, can you?

[identity profile] kick-ass-curls.livejournal.com 2012-07-09 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
In truth Natasha doesn't know what she could or couldn't give Clint. No doctor has ever checked that part of her biology out that she's aware of. Loki's words, however, make her pause. She'd never thought about children until that moment. She never asked Clint and they talk about everything.

Well, no. Not everything. She knows very little about details. His blood family, his brother, and his childhood for example. The archer doesn't tell her much, despite how much they talk.

"Children..." She states matter-of-factly. "Are not encouraged for agents of our level by SHIELD."

[identity profile] world-made-free.livejournal.com 2012-07-22 11:07 am (UTC)(link)
And by your own heart? What does that encourage, Romanova?

*he manages to keep his tone neutral this time, without a hint of judgement or mockery. If she didn't know better, she might think that Loki was even acting as a counsellor of sorts*

Children are a blessing, and that's something I can safely say from experience. There can be no greater love than that of a parent towards their child.

"My heart is none of your business." She hisses at him even though his tone is anything but malicious. She pauses, shaking her head. What she knows of parents says otherwise. Her biological parents died when she was young, and Taras Romanov, well he was her 'father' but not in the way she needed. The Red Room's implanted memories? That's the closest she's had to real parents and they never even existed. She doesn't say anything about parents. Not one word.

"Come now, there's no need for such hostility," the god chides, his voice deceptively soft and friendly. "We're speaking of children here, not biological weapons - although, granted, given some of my offspring, you could be forgiven for believing them to be one and the same."

He chuckles, taking a moment to think of Fenris and Jormungandr, not to mention his daughter, Hela. Perhaps Tasha knows of the stories; perhaps she doesn't. Either way, it would be a logical guess to assume that anything related to him is rather formidable.

"Is that really how you feel, Drakov's daughter? You would sacrifice your own happiness, merely to spite me?"

"Actually, I think there's just the right amount of need for hostility." She counters coldly, that tone in his voice only provoking her. She listen, eyes still narrowed. "Children should never be made into weapons. If you think yours are that you're a fucking terrible father. Mother. Whatever."

She knows the stories, but much like the 'myths' she'd heard before of Thor and Loki, she doubts those are remotely accurate either.

"Who says you matter that much to me in the first place?" She wouldn't forgo marriage, children if she could to spite Loki. She would, however, make the calculated assessment to not let those happen until she was sure her loved ones would be safe from the treacherous god.

[identity profile] world-made-free.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I didn't make them into weapons," he states with a dangerous smile. "They were born that way. That was their wyrd, just as I have mine. That's why the All-Father fears them."

He continues to grin horribly at her as she speaks, clearly amused by the entire conversation.

"I'd say causing you to use profanities in my direction and insulting my ability as a parent would indicate that I mean something to you, and whether it's misguided love or a festering hatred, I couldn't really care."

[identity profile] kick-ass-curls.livejournal.com 2012-09-26 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"Even if that is true," Which she doesn't buy for a second. "You did nothing to stop their so called fates from coming to pass." Natasha doesn't believe in that shit, she never did.

The grin is unsettling, but it's nothing she can't handle. She's seen so much worse.

"Have you considered the fact I could simply enjoy calling you a fucking worthless piece of shit?" Natasha asks as if thats exactly why she does this.

[identity profile] world-made-free.livejournal.com 2012-09-30 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
"None of us can." He speaks softly now, almost sadly, perhaps concealing a hurt at which Natasha cannot even begin to guess. "But so be it. Thus is the very nature of fate."

He chuckles, however, when she attempts to deliver another insult.

"Perhaps you do. Nonetheless, it's a reaction, and not a negative one. Maybe it gives me a perverse sense of pleasure to know that you enjoy it."

[identity profile] kick-ass-curls.livejournal.com 2012-11-07 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Fate? Are you serious." She doesn't believe in fate. Fate makes a person helpless and she doesn't like that feeling, for herself or for anyone.

"I'm sure you could find plenty of people to insult you if you looked hard enough." And with that Tasha decides she'd done. She won't give him what he seems to want.
