Natasha had always been the kind of girl who was bothered by little things that wouldn't upset a normal person. One of those things, however trivial it may have seems, was the fact Captain America had slept through Star Wars coming out. It bothered her, she wasn't sure why. 

Then again, when it came to Steve, Tasha wasn't sure about a lot of things. 

She gave Steve directions to her place, assuming he wouldn't have a TV or a BluRay player for the super deluxe re-re-re-re-re release of the original trilogy, and cleared both their afternoons  of SHIELD duties with the new 'handler'. That guy didn't ask what she was doing the way Phil would have. Tasha was glad about that because she didn't know what the she was doing either. It just sort of happened and in truth, it was pretty damned exciting. This was coming from a girl who's been an assassin for years.

"You were, uh.... tryin' to be nice?" He replied, scratching the back of his head whilst starting to get a feeling that wasn't the complete answer.

The way he doesn't 'get it' really is cute. "I am nice. You told me so yourself." Natasha smiles, hopping a little closer to him. She considers everything she's been though with him recently. Why shouldn't she be nice to him?

"Steve?" Natasha whispers. "Why did you agree to come over here today?"

Steve looked into her eyes as she moved closer then spoke, parting his lips slightly as he started to get an inkling of what she was getting at. Then he thought about why he agreed to come to hers. He'd been telling himself that it was because they were becoming friends, but now he wasn't so sure that that was the real answer.

Natasha isn't trying to push something on him he doesn't want. She's well aware the kind of man Steve is. He's got an innocence about him that she lost far too young, which is why she feels guilty entertaining thoughts that could corrupt that.

He's almost like an angel, and her...well she doesn't want to think about everything she's done. Tasha won't be sporting any metaphoric wings, that's for sure.

She glances at the television, wondering for a moment if she should ignore his silence. Instead, Natasha reaches her finger out and taps him on the forehead gently. "I asked you a question, Cap. You OK in there?"

Steve stayed silent for a few moments before swallowing. "Huh? Oh, yeah... yeah, i'm fine. I'm okay, i'm fine." Steve replied, stumbling with his words slightly.

"Do you want something to drink?" She looks away from him, assuming she's made a error in judgement about what he meant about getting to know her better. Natasha's disappointed of course but she can hide it.

Steve frowned as she looked away from him. "Natasha... hey..." He began, reaching slowly to turn her face to himself.

"What?" Tasha sounds dejected, like she feels she's done something wrong. That happens a lot with her.

Steve was now really starting to get the idea of why she had wanted him to come here. He swallowed, looking into her eyes as if searching to make sure he was right. He was also starting to realise that there was definitely more as to why he was there as well.

"Is there more as to why you asked me here?"

Of course there is, but for one of the first times in her life Tasha doesn't want to be that kind of girl that just takes what she wants. Steve's special. He's different and she's not sure how to approach this. It makes her a nervous as a teenager.

"How...uh..." She can't seem to tear her gaze away from him. "How would you feel if that was the case?"

He swallowed thickly, considering it for only a second. "I would feel... like there's more to why I came here...." Steve replied slowly and unsurely.

God, this is like torture.

She looks away for a second, amazed at how the most normal of things terrify her to no end. "Would you be alright with that? Me wanting you here, and you wanting to be here, for more than just..." Natasha glances at the movie they're NOT watching. "This?"

Steve looked at the screen for a second then back at her before breathing in deeply and giving a nod.

"OK." She nods, feeling like a weight is lifted off her chest. What she doesn't nest is probably the most unromantic thing in the universe. Tasha leans in closer, resting her hand on his cheek.

"I'm gonna kiss you now, if that's OK."

He breathed in deeply at the thought of her kissing him before nodding slightly. "It is."

"Good." Tasha takes a deep breath before pressing her lips on his. It's not how she usually kisses someone. It's slow and gentle, deliberately so. She slides her hand to the back of his neck pulling her self closer.

Steves eyes closed as her lips touched his and he breathed in deeply through his nose. It took him a few moments before he returned the kiss slowly.

She waits until he reacts to her to push things any further. "Relax." Tasha murmurs softly, not taking her lips from his as she does. She slips her fingertips though his hair, gently guiding him to a more comfortable angle.

"Trying." Steve murmured in reply. "It's been a while." He slowly kissed her in return and reached up to cup her cheek gently.

That comment probably has the opposite effect that Steve wanted. Natasha starts to giggle, a mixture of nervous tension and the the fact he's not even remotely kidding about it being a long time forcing a fit of laughter out of her.

"Uh...sorry." She pulls back and look him over. Tasha doesn't want to explain. There's a good chance she can't explain. "Sorry. Where were we?" She smiles before leaning in to kiss him again.

Steve pulled back ever so slightly. Frowning at her. "What's funny?"

"Nothing." She tries to lean in again, wanting to 'fix' this. "I'm nervous, I laugh when I'm nervous."

"That's the reason why?" he asked, wanting to make sure.

Tasha stops trying to kiss him again, closing her eyes guiltily. "Yeah, it is. I..." She exhales and opens her eyes again. "I like you. You're not like any of the other guys I've ever..." Tasha trails off, not wanting to tell someone like Steve about her less than virginal past.

"Haven't you ever had someone make you feel nervous and weird before?"

Steve listened before looking down and away slightly. "Yeah, I have..." he replied quietly.
